My daughter doesn’t understand my dislike for purple (she loves purple dresses) so I just refer to them as different hues of lavender.

Hmmm. And where do GA Southern fans fit into your little scenario?Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 9:46 amBrother do you know how many people say that about our fans? I try not to hold a standard to other school’s I wouldn’t hold to ours. All schools have bad fans. But compared to some fanbases, none of those schools make me not want success for their teams. I try to stay focused on the schools I root against and not devolve into hating every school that ever gave App a tough game.AppinATL wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 7:36 amNone of Western an Furman fans were off-putting?!? My, some people’s memories are short!Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 8:54 pmAlways root for the SoCon. Yes that includes Furman Western and Wofford. We had healthy rivalries and none of their fanbases are off putting. Plus they are regional. I’d rather see wofford or another so con team do well vs some school in Utah I’ve never heard of.

I don't really hold grudges against former FCS opponents. Who cares? We've moved on, and I got other stuff to be upset about (multiple failed marriages, work, taxes, having mild-to-moderate plaque psoriasis, my addiction to Golden Girls reruns, etc.)Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 9:46 amBrother do you know how many people say that about our fans? About the only thing I miss from the old days is DJ & Steve Brown calling App games. Jackson is by far one of the best play-by-play guys EVER. Now, somebody try to change my mind.

Anybody following the FCS games? I've religiously watched my Citadel Bulldogs take their beatdowns on DVR. It's been good Wednesday night TV for the last 3 weeks. They've kept it close each game but that tired ol' triple option just can't put up the points to win. I got a Citadel Alum in my F3 group and sadly I've had to update him on the team. I'm afraid I might be the only one.

I saw where VMI is ranked. Hope they can keep it up.

After losing Clemson we became the official broadcast home of furman. So I kinda have to keep an eye on them.mike87 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 12:11 pmAnybody following the FCS games? Definitely not a normal year for VMI with a 4-0 start, ranked, and a QB that is getting NFL looks. SoCon well repped in latest STATS poll with Chatty (#9), VMI (#14), and Furman (#20). ETSU also receiving votes. I'm glad we are in FBS though. I would not want to be playing in the spring and then have to play this fall.

I’m glad we’re FBS for a million more reasons than that. But that, too.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 1:46 pmDefinitely not a normal year for VMI with a 4-0 start, ranked, and a QB that is getting NFL looks. Agreed. It is one of many reasons for sure!AppinVA wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 4:40 pmI’m glad we’re FBS for a million more reasons than that.
