Heels making Pitt look like national champs. That is a bad defense considering having those 4 and 5 stars. Bateman has to be gone after season.

Chase needs to stay next year to face that defense!!

Well, the game went to OT. The Heels lost. The will become bowl eligible as the play a tune up game before playing NC State. So barely bowl eligible. I realize that our bowl alignment would not make this happen. Be great to play them in a bowl game.

We are losing a lot of covid seniors next year though. Chase, if back, would be throwing to new receivers.

I believe Brice has another year if he wants it. Personally, I believe he should if he wants to continue to play football. Although I believe he is the best pure passing QB we have ever had (IMO), he is not going to get drafted even in a weak QB class and I am not optimistic that he gets an invite to a camp. Just my opinion. If he leaves, I hope he does get a shot. He may could get on a practice squad. So it may be CFL if he wants that which is not a bad gig if you want to keep playing for love of the game.
In terms of new receivers, etc. That is college football. Players have to leave once eligibility is up. With that said, we have several players that will have significant experience in the program if not getting many reps such as Wells, Horn. In addition, we will have a loaded backfield if all come back.
Overall, Brice will do what Brice believes is best for him. Hope he comes back. Could use him against A&M, Heels and rest of Sunbelt.

I don't know if it is just me - I never claim to be impartial with the heels nor Mack - but to me Mack looks lost on the sideline, he walks around clapping his hands and saying Let's Go - He doesn't look to be involved with many in-game decisions other than "punt" or "go for 2" or "FG"

Which is fine if you’re surrounded by good assistant coaches. The best manager is the manager that hires those that don’t need managing.

I grew up a Heels fan entire life...but feel like reasonable and realistic more than most. I have same opinion of him during games as being lost or just a fan with sideline accesd. However, I will say his press conferences during the week he comes across as knowledgeable and on top of things inside program. Mack can say what he wants around the media having unrealistic expectations this year. This was due to his own PRs prior to season discussing depth. Although key losses on offense, he talked up defense all preseason that more depth, etc...the defense has been the problem...they have many guys back on D.
The main issue on offense is the OL where they did have returning players. Anderson has not been fully healthy all year.
Overall, the season, from won/loss perspective, has been a disappointment as compared to where expectations were...

But he always has excuses on his post-game - When APP beat them it was almost like the holes didn't show up - no praise for APP just about the mistakes his team made - Last night - his line was "it was raining and we were on the road" ---------
Again my opinion - he is a great salesman (and what UNC needed after the Fedora debacle) but a mediocre coach
