Saw verification about an hour after posting but thank you! Sad to see and I know Satt kept him from being forced out here but I guess he couldn’t even cover for him anymore.

I mean, I get people may not like his methods (at least that's what I've heard on here a few times, I don't know the guy at all), but you can't argue with his results.

He does get results. But at what cost? Dude comes with baggage and Satt went to bat more times than he should have here.

Seems like some in the fanbase are already starting to turn on Satt...will be interesting to see how much longer they give him on their current trajectory.

Vince Tryra, UL AD who hired him, is being named new Florida State AD. Apparently Tyra's and UL President's relationship had become untenable. The UL board met Monday and removed the non compete clause from his contract so that he can accept FSU job.

UL is a mess.

It was just announced that UL President is leaving for Penn State. Weird turn of events.

Now Vince Tyra has turned down FSU offer. So perhaps good news for Satt. Hopefully next season shows more progress for him. It certainly doesn't help that UK has Stoops continuation in building that program.

It is not his training methods because the program he has is very good. It is the way he treats people. Those who were below him left because of him. He was very rough on people. I have nothing against him personally but heard from numerous people that he was not good to deal with.

Like AppSt94 said, Satt went to bat for him more than he should. It makes you wonder what he had on him because he was a major headache. Gillin will never let him back at App as long as he is the AD.

It sounds like a huge mess up there. They went from 100% in on the AD and Satt to wanting them all gone. I saw on their board where someone was mad they only let go of Mike and did not clean house.

maybe he didn't "have anything" and Satt just thought that he was worth the headache for the results he produced. I mean, he did help Satt get a $3MM+ job at a P5 school, so there is that. It just eventually caught up to him I guess and theres only so much BS that a program can take. I mean with UL budget they can get someone that produces results and is less of a headache.

I was joking about having something on him but indeed the BS wears on people and made him an easy fire when they are not winning like expected. I just hope Satt does not try to poach our S&C coach.

I would enjoy hearing some of the stories about how he treated people or the BS some speak of?

All I know is Dude got it done. During his time at App we went toe to toe physically with our P5 opponents. Not being physical has been a huge problem since he left. GS pushed us around and so did UL, 3 times.

Though some at UL complained that they were not physical enough and particularly pointed to the UK game. Others have shown anger at Brown's defense. They aren't a happy lot.

And now Tyra has submitted his resignation!

Someone said Satt should go after the Duke job. The current state of affairs in Louisville would be reason enough to drive anyone into the (blue) devil’s arms. I wouldn’t blame him one bit of he jumped.

So Tyra renegs on FSU job, UL president bolts for Penn State, and Tyra resigns from UL. Wonder what kind of sh!t is fixing to come out of Louisville. I hope Scott is clean.

He is on the last year of his contract. I think anything less than 8 wins and he won't get renewed. That is if the new AD, whoever that may be, decides to let him coach out his contract. I am surprised they aren't making a change in defensive coordinator. Maybe they are still getting the right personnel for that scheme, and I know everyone was high on brown, but that defense has let them down a lot this year.
