Grayson Mccall to transfer?

Been brought up here before that he may not return to Coastal and now he admits what he has been thinking for a while. This should get interesting if he returns after going public about the chance he won't come back. I would bet that several P5 schools would be interested.

I will make one prediction about Grayson McCall.
He will NEVER play QB in the NFL.

I posted this because this greatly effects them. I wonder if South Carolina should have gone after him instead of McCall?

Maybe Clemson goes after him? I thought South Carolina would want him but they took Rattler.

Once Rattler went to SC I thought that UNC, UGA, or someone else losing a star QB might try to get McCall if he hits the portal.

I do not see UNC going after him. They have two 4 stars waiting to play. Unless one is planning to transfer, if I were Mack, I would go for other needs...that defense needs some serious help..maybe not due to players, etc
It seems Clemson would be option. One QB transferred and the other was not great.

Come on - Mack doesn't need him - He has the #9 ranked recruiting class and they will again be ranked in the top 10 pre-season and when APP kicks his ass he will bitch and moan that the media hyped his team too much ---

Idk what some people on this boards obsession is with seeing McCall fail is. Or how blind you are to how good he is. Barring an injury, he will play in the NFL whether you like it or not. He may not ever be a starter but barring some significant injury he will 100% get drafted and end up with at least one year of an NFL camp.

McCall is a freaking stud. I don’t want to discount our Qbs but if He was on our roster we wouldn’t have lost a game in 2020 or 21. Coastal was a completely different team with him off of the field.

I agree - there are so many back-up QBs on NFL teams I have never heard of - he just needs to be at the right place at the right time -

Yep I’m not saying he will be successful in the NFL, but he will 100% get drafted and get his chance.

I had a different take. He was asked if he thought about leaving college OR transferring to which he basically said yes. He didn't specify which question he was answering yes to.
I don't think be transfers. If he was going to transfer he would probably already be in the portal.
I'm of the opinion that it's a bigger risk for him to transfer to another school and have to learn a new offense against better opponents each week than it is for him to stay at Coastal and continue throws for 300 yards on only 18 attempts.

Did some of you not read the article?
He is fifth in the nation in completion percentage at 73% and has thrown for 2,558 yards in 10 games with 23 touchdowns and just three interceptions in 2021. For his CCU career, McCall has completed 71 percent of his passes with 50 touchdowns and six interceptions, and has rushed for 830 yards and 11 scores. He is 19-2 as a starter, including 9-1 this season.
Yes he will be in the NFL one day. And why wouldnt UNC or Clemson want him? I think he has 2 years left of eligibility!!

Can't you see a Clemson booster throwing a NIL deal at him?

You may see a familiar name in this article. I wonder how this will affect things.

I would agree if Clemson was not high on DJ and did not sign the 5-star. Beamer should have gone after him instead of the ME QB from OU. I would imagine UNC and several other schools would want him.
