Congrats to Matt for doing a great job.

I guess this probably puts the fork in the argument that App missed big time on hiring Capel instead of him. History can be a brutal lesson in good and bad decisions. However, the good side of the story is one of our own went on to enjoy a lot of success.

Keep up the great work Matt. Show the SEC what App Men are about.

Every single other team so they knew not to hire him ever.

I hope Matt makes a lot of money and wins a lot of games. I’ve always pulled against LSU since back in the Dale Brown days. I’ll reconsider now.

Matt's departure has set off a portal party at Murray.

Would any of those Murray St players be targets for App needs?

After losing most every player to portal, it appears that LSU is picking up Cam Hayes from NC State..as well as some Murray State and Northwestern St guys. Hope he is able to recruit a decent team through the portal. Otherwise, 2022/2023 may be a tough year for the new coach. If I am in transfer portal looking for P5 opportunity and wanting playing time, LSU may not be a bad destination.

I hadn’t heard about Cam Hayes heading to Baton Rouge.

This is a bit off topic, but is anything known about our 2022-23 non-conference men’s basketball schedule?
