Satterfield and Drink feeling heat.

I've tried to share this story but ESPN+ and SI are reporting that Satt and Drink are on a hotter seat. According to a rumor mentioned in the article, Satt will be gone after Saturday if LU losses to UVA. Drink is also on the hot seat watch. The article below the one I mentioned still has Chadwell as possibly the lead guy for Georgia Tech. If anyone has better sharing skills than I, you can find the article on The Mothership .com

I would bet money that Scott is at the point he does not really care now if they fire him this weekend. He would like to finish the job because he loves to coach but he is not worried if they fire him now. He will still get his money and his wife did not want to be there anyway. I bet he will land on his feet in FCS or G5 as a HC or OC at G5 or P5 if he wants.

They will perhaps be moving to Spruce Pine, as I have heard they have already purchased it.

It is ludicrous to say a "coach does not care now"...a coach that cares...which I believe Satt is...he is invested in the players that he recruited...sure sone may not...but I think Satt does... beyond that, a coach does not want to be fired...their goal is to win so they can move to the next higher P5 job, etcm

I don't know...Boone/AppMountains are special. I can't wait to retire back to the mountains. Satt may be ready to retire. Especially if App or ETSU or GardnerWebb gives him a job with insurance. I say Quarterback coach at AppState.

Satt has made enough money to set his family up for generations. It would not surprise me if he comes back to the mountain in some capacity.

That said, he's among the most passionate people I've been around. It won't sit well with him if he's fired and he'll feel like he has something to prove...

Does Wofford need a coach?

Louisville will beat Virginia. While we're taking about Virginia, I'd say JMU is the best team in that state.

As I said earlier, Louisville's over and under win total for the rest of the season should be 1.5 games. Their best chance to win is UVa, the rest Louisville is a dog in. Based on your lose Saturday theory, he has 1 week left.

Louisville is currently paying more annually to people who no longer work there than the coaches who do work there:

I felt from the beginning that Satt needed the full 5 years to try and clean up and straighten out this program. Most of the fans forget the shitshow he inherited. He's cleaned it up and gotten them close, but the defense hasn't taken hold. He has a very good recruiting class coming in, be a shame for him not to get one more year.

I’ve been thinking for awhile that Scott needs to make the tough choice to let Brown go. I haven’t been impressed with the UL defense at all.

Satterfield had a proven record at least. Missouri was idiotic hiring Drinkwitz after the guy had just one year as a HC. Granted, it was a very successful year but he walked into a pretty sweet situation. I would want to see if a guy can recruit and build a program before throwing 20 million dollars at him.

I did not say he does not care about the job he is doing because I know being fired won't sit well with him but his family does not like Louisville and the fans are clearly ready to move on as well. He is set for life so I don’t think he is worried if they do is what I meant. I'm sure he will want to prove something somewhere else.

Usually in this situation I would say wait and see if the coach can turn it around but the schedule is tough and might as well give them an edge in finding their next coach. It would also give him time to decide what he will do for next year if he wants to sit out or land quickly.
