Darn I was hoping he do kits enough to be retained. Terrible hire from the start.

Wasn't he like the next hot coach about 3 years ago? I know when they last came to Boone he was the rage. Hate for anyone to get fired unless they are simply a dirtbag but the love fest there got out of hand way too fast.

Yep, Healy was the buzz when hired which I totally did not understand at the time, nor now.

Even third-person clt on their message board made a comment about how bad they were. That's how bad things are in Charlotte. They have a lot of money to pay out for 4 more years.

Matt Ruhle doesn’t even have to sell his house!

Healy never impressed me. He only “won” with kids the prior coaching staff recruited. They appear to be in far worse shape now than when he took over. They hoped to catch a young coach on the way up but got a hype man. Selfishly I wish they kept him.
They actually got it right last time and went after Mike Houston, unfortunately they just weren’t a desirable landing spot regardless of what their fans like to say.
They’d be smart to go after someone like Walt Wells at EKU, an adult. Hopefully they do something dumb.

Best football team in Charlotte? Davidson.

Rhule would be a great hire for them. If he can turn Temple into a winning program then he can do it at Charlotte. Just look at how Temple was rock solid but fell back down when he left. He could get them to a 8-9 win type program within 3 years, in my opinion.

Unfortunately I agree.
Unfortunately for uncc I think his sights are set much higher.

I believe Rhule will get a P5 HC offer or a coordinator position at P5....of which both will pay more than Charlotte will pay..if not more for coordinator position he needs to sacrifice a year or two at coordinator...to get P5 HC offer...I do not believe Charlotte does anything for his resume and/or it will take 3 to 4 years... personally believe if he does well 1 to 2 years as coordinator at P5, he gets P5 HC position. If I were in his position, Charlotte is my last resort. If I were him, I would take a year off if that is his only option.

Rhule is going to somewhere like Nebraska or Oklahoma. Not Charlotte.

Their bowl season was a farce. To get to six wins, they beat FCS Gardner-Webb (3-9), UMass (1-11), North Texas (4-8), MTSU (4-8), UTEP (1-11), ODU (1-11) and had a "marquee" win against Marshall (8-5).

He doesn’t really need a job for money. He’s making $10 mill a year from Carolina so anything he makes salary wise takes away what the Panthers owe him.

They certainly recruit as much as Davidson and UNC Concord...

And they had a former walkon turn into an All-American DE when UNCC switched to a 4-3 under Healy.
I had a feeling Healy was under pressure this year. Working for an AD that didn't hire him, new conference next season. It was bowl or bust.

And said player is currently leading the NFL in sacks
