michigan and notre dame should never be allowed in playoff. Been a theme for literally 15 years running now.

I’ll be surprised if Georgia doesn’t beat OSU by 20+

If the current college football playoff were a true playoff instead of an invitational tournament The Ohio State and TCU would not be in it. How can you justify two teams that did not even win their conference championship be in a playoff?

16 teams, conference champions, conference champion runner up from power five and Notre Dame.

Pulling for TCU and Duggan to go all the way. The Frogs played a great game. McCarthy will be someone to recon with in a year or 2.

Are you saying that the team that beat the big 10 champ didn’t deserve to be there? I would argue that, in the current system, they got it right. Alabama also showed that conference champs is meaningless.

Two major frauds on the high end national level of college football -
The Big 10 and Notre Dame
Michigan and Ohio State play 2 games a year - against each other and Penn St. none of the three would make the SEC Championship Game from the West -
Alabama should be playing today - well, they were - but in the Semi-Finals ---

Yes, if you cannot win your conference, you are not the best. Stop calling it a playoff when all it really is, is an invitational tournament.

Automatic qualifiers are what makes a playoff a true playoff. That is why people love the big dance, win your conference and you are in, lose one game in the tournament and you are out not like the NBA, NHL, and MLB, no do overs.

You do realize that every example you provided has teams that don’t win their conferences or divisions? The intent of the committee is to find the 4 best teams.period. I agree with the necessary changes with an expanded playoff but to say that Mich, Ga, Utah, and Kansas st would be better, you’re just wrong

My intention in the original post was to bring back fond memories of the 2007 game and recognize the players that made it such a great memory.

How could such a opening statement evolve into such complicated and seemingly unrelated responses??

Yeah to the 2007 team!!

Anyone watching the Peach Bowl? Looks to me like Bennet has bet money against UGA. Playing unbelievably bad.

Current playoffs reinforcing an expanded playoff. I thought we would see two blowouts (opposite of the current). You just never know. Need to go with 12 teams and who knows how it will go.

I dont disagree with this, but why should Notre Dame automatically get in?
