Think APP Football has it bad with only 6 wins? UNC hasn't won a conference championship in 40 years as per this article.

So just to be clear, this is the new world of college football should anyone wonder. I ask some on this board who supposedly know the challenges App faces with taking portal transfers, how did Carolina pull in all these transfers if App has so many problems?

We’ve got nine transfers coming in (five from P5s, two from peers and two from lower-division schools). Do you think we should be bringing in more?

Basically fan bases and wealthy alums don't care to hear that a coach is "doing it the right way". Win now damnit!

Don't know for certain because I don't know anything about UNCheat, but I'd imagine their NIL deals are a little more lucrative...

Also, remember their recruiting budget is likely more than our total operation budget...

I was speaking specifically about grades and transfer credits as has been discussed on this site many times.

And I am not saying we should have more than we do this year. I am just pointing out that this will be the new way teams are managed.

They likely found/used the same loophole/temporary fix we did this recruiting cycle... Also, if a player is getting paid $50k+ a year, magically their fear of credits transferring goes out the window.

Mack is on record for saying how difficult it's been in the past though.

A couple more ready now guys wouldn’t hurt if we think we have a shot at competing for a title/doing something next year. If not, keep it as is and start to develop players.

Which one or ones of their players is getting $50K a year? Just curious.

Macks first big transfer was Eric Church from App State, first string Country singer out of Hudson NC. Good thing we had a much better recruit right behind him on the depth chart.
