He’s getting reamed by his fans on social sites and message boards/TigerNet. They could have a very bad season though- there is a lack of talent at skill positions.ASUchipman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:44 pmThis is embarrassing not to Clemson standards. Fire Dabo now. This team is getting worse while others are getting better. He was a bad hire! I’m done with Clemson until he’s fired.

The difference is dabo has been at the top and he’s in a down year or two.ASUchipman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:44 pmThis is embarrassing not to Clemson standards. Fire Dabo now. This team is getting worse while others are getting better. He was a bad hire! I’m done with Clemson until he’s fired.

Also the difference is preseason rankings don’t matter, and it was FBS vs FBS.
That said, I’m not in the sky is falling camp from last game, I think our first team gauge comes against ECU.
But he was at the top.

Agree, but I think it’s dumb to compare Clark to dabo and this was a low effort post that attempts to do just thatArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:59 pmyosef69 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:56 pmThe difference is dabo has been at the top and he’s in a down year or two.ASUchipman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:44 pmThis is embarrassing not to Clemson standards. Probably by fans that think kids should get participation trophies.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:51 pmHe’s getting reamed by his fans on social sites and message boards/TigerNet. Re: Fire Dabo
Too bad there isn't a happy medium between the "participation trophies" thing and the lose a game it's the end of the world fire all of the coaches and bench half the team thing. I get it, coaches and certain teams are expected to win every game. I figured out years ago that even the teams App plays has experienced coaches, they recruit good players, practice and prepare and actually compete just as hard or harder.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 5:28 amProbably by fans that think kids should get participation trophies.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:51 pmHe’s getting reamed by his fans on social sites and message boards/TigerNet. Re: Fire Dabo
Mike Elko became Duke's head football coach in December 2021 (less than 2 years ago), in his first season he led the Blue Devils to nine regular season victories and last night beat #9 Clemson. That's an Impressive accomplishment considering where the program stood when he took over.

There was a group that thought once they lost their DC there would be regression.
He has strengths but needs elite coordinators.
That said, Duke passed the eye test, athletic QB, sound WRs and a defense that attacks and tackles very well.

Re: Fire Dabo
One item to note: Clemson's use of the transfer portal the last two years was 23 transfers out and only 2 transfers in.
Coaches that don't adapt to the new rules of business will struggle in the interim.
Duke had 17 transfers in the last two years and 19 transfers out.
App had 13 out and 22 in.

Re: Fire Dabo
If you're going to use Dabo as an example to maybe hush the fire Clark crowd, maybe use the fact he struggled when he first started at Clemson and turned things around.
Using the fact Clemson has not had their historical success the past few seasons as a comparison to what has happened at App, is apples to oranges. Dabo has proven success with his own players and through, building the program up. Clark, the jury is still out.

Re: Fire Dabo
Hires Garrett Riley from an air raid/run and shoot type of system, then Dabo goes on his first coaches show in August and basically brags that he has Riley running a “dirt raid”. Don’t get hiring the guy just to try and fit him into your system that was failing. That said, I don’t know how good Klubnik is, but I do know outside of Antonio Williams that Clemson WR room just isn’t that good. And this is where his apprehension to transfers and NIL is showing.

Re: Fire Dabo
I think there are similarities to Dabo and SC and to both of our programs. We were both practically unbeatable when our respective conferences weren't as strong. Similar trajectory after COVID. They both were reluctant to commit to the portal and they stick to the traditions/system already in place. However, to his credit SC has shown a willingness to change to bring in more athletes through the portal. If Dabo is willing to change, Clemson can get back on track soon.

Re: Fire Dabo
Think they are talking about Dook and playing an in-state team. I’m ready to get to Clemson and beat them!
