Re: Fire Dabo
I don't care enough to visit Clemson's message boards, but I'm pretty confident they have plenty of upset fans, and also some who mock those fans for being upset as Clemson has slipped from national titles to top 10-15 range to now getting blown out by Duke.
I don't know what the future holds for them (or us), but I do think that if you wait until things hit rock bottom and everyone can agree something's wrong, then it's too late.

Agree that you can’t wait for things to hit rock bottom. However, sometimes you have to take two steps back in order to take three steps forward.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 9:09 amI don't care enough to visit Clemson's message boards, but I'm pretty confident they have plenty of upset fans, and also some who mock those fans for being upset as Clemson has slipped from national titles to top 10-15 range to now getting blown out by Duke.

Re: Fire Dabo
Elko and Duke are for real. Was App's win over Michigan and UNC a fluke too. App is an 18 point underdog this weekend, if we win, is it a fluke?

Re: Fire Dabo
Makes you wonder how much credence is put into prior week games. If we had gone full bore open the playbook, blitz and chunk the ball 40 times could we have won by 40? Assuming the UNC game stayed the same is this a 9 point spread? Who cares how much they are favored.

A fluke? I wouldn’t think so. We beat them in 2019 and lost by 2 last year.sappsurapp wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 12:39 pmElko and Duke are for real. Was App's win over Michigan and UNC a fluke too. App is an 18 point underdog this weekend, if we win, is it a fluke?

The thing about what your saying is that rationale is making an assumption that the coaches have implemented the entire playbook into the rotation by Week 2.Bigdaddyg1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 12:46 pmMakes you wonder how much credence is put into prior week games. Elko inherited chicken crap and immediately made chicken salad out of it.The AD deserves a raise for finding him.

Re: Fire Dabo
There is a parallel in that both coaches (Dabo and Clark) were slow to adjust to the portal. There is a reason for that. Dabo is coaching an elite P5. Those programs have not replied on the portal nearly as much as most others. Neither Georgia nor Bama has relied heavily on the portal. They use it for filling gaps.
Clark is coming from App and we have always preached development and downplayed transfers. He has acknowledged his error and corrected it this year. I think it will work out well. We will see as the season unfolds. It's hard for me to fault Clark for this error since everyone is feeling their way through this.
I think Clemson will be fine but they won't have a cakewalk this year and might not win the ACC. With UNC looking legit (early) and FSU looking strong, it could be a tough year for the Tigers

Graham knows what he’s talking about. Have been following him for years and have had good conversations with him. Dabo has to learn how to let other coaches coach. Can’t control everyone and everything.

Some of it is , perhaps ,that Duke is managed and coached at a high level now , as are some of the other ACC schools. We are in the same situation competition wise in the Sunbelt. You stand still and you get passed by.
