Heard some rumblings today that Kerwin Bell has been approached about the UNCC job.

Also, Cignetti and his new contract at Indiana has a massive pile of cash for his assistants. The ESPN article I read said it was second to only Ohio St (money allowed for assistants).

Not a terrible surprise, but Mack Brown is fired.

Hmmm, that did not play out well the last few days for Mack. "I intend to coach in 2025". Day or two later..."You're fired"

I felt like Barbay was a bit more creative with his wrinkles. He stayed true to what we did, much like Eli, but he put just enough of his thumbprint on it to give it some fresh looks.

Bell is on the market. Talking to UNCC makes sense. It would be a step up for both. They could do worse. I hope they do.

Yea I mean it's in the Observer and he has the betting odds to be the next coach. Not that either matters, but something has leaked somewhere. Quality hire if it happens.

I thought Barbay was OK, but it also seemed like he got a lot of goodwill from our fans out of his first two games (UNC and A&M) even though the offense was pretty uneven the rest of that season.

I agree, the JMU debacle and Marshall games were brutal.

Jamie Chadwell & Jon Sumrall are rumored for UNC... Honestly I don't see either of them taking the job. As much as UNC wants to be a football school they aren't...Coaches know that

If the money is right either would jump at it.

I think they pass on both. I feel like it will be a Power level school OC or DC.

I can't picture Chadwell at UNC. About as stark a square peg/round hole personality fit as there could be.
