Pretty good schedule. If I had to pick a team not to play they would be up there on the list simply because we already played them not too long ago.

I do not think we have ever played Texas State. If I recall correctly, It was 2005 we were on a collision course to play them on the road in the playoffs, but their coach made a late game "bobby lamb" call that lost them the game. I do not recall the specifics, but do believe it gave us homefield through the semis.TheMoody1 wrote:Pretty good schedule. You may be thinking of Troy, though that was over 10 years ago. Man how time flies!

If I am not mistaken, we played Tx State in Boone several years ago. Could be wrong.AppDawg wrote:I do not think we have ever played Texas State. I stand corrected. 2004. I 100% forgot about that game.TheMoody1 wrote: If I am not mistaken, we played Tx State in Boone several years ago. Could be wrong.

If my memory serves me correctly, due to an injury at qb, Mr. Trey Elder started that game as a sophmore and carried us to victory.

Honestly, I didn't remember ever playing Tx State either, but according to College Football Data Warehouse, we did playin 2004 in Boone. App won 41-34.

Richie was injured. I can't remember if the backup was Trey; I believe he would have been a freshman in '04, but the backup QB did start and win against Texas St.Yosef84 wrote:I think you are thinking of Northern Arizona in 2007MDaniels84 wrote:If my memory serves me correctly, due to an injury at qb, Mr. Trey Elder started that game as a sophmore and carried us to victory.

Also, I have been told we will play at Troy next year. So I guess we can start to piece together next years schedule.

Wow! T-Dog, great work on finding that box score and it even lists Alan Atwater in it. He could really take a "hit" . Bada bing Bada boom

Yep...looks like I was wrong. Who'd have thunk it? Given that I didn't remember the game at all under looking it up in College Football Data Warehouse, I probably should have shut up. I just didn't think Trey went back that far and I didn't stop to do the simple math. Time does fly!
