Wow....$430,000 and he's not even a OC oor DC.

Quite a bit more than any of our coaches make...our Head coaches. He certainly has it made down there surrounded by all those cocks. Great stadium though. Horrible bathroom lines.

Shawn is the Co-OC, running game coordinator. Little Spurrier is the other Co-OC and in charge of the passing game. http://www.gamecocksonline.com/sports/m ... 54785.html

USC is paying him to stay. He has been a hot name for a lot of schools as both an OC and a HC. He has been kinda flying under the radar publicly, but is very highly thought of in coaching circles. He still loves ASU, and I really wanted him as our HC, but a lot of factors would have never allowed it to happen.

$430K... Todd Grantham just left UGA to go to Louisville. UL is paying him $1 Million / season base for 5 years... crazy thing is his defenses at UGA, aside from 1 year, was suspect at best. FBS payrolls are in another league. I know we can't compete with the big boys $$$ wise, but we sure need to up our game amonst the Group of 5 or else the annual rumors / "looking" of our coaches to other group of 5 schools (see Nate Woody) will continue and create a difficult enviornment to establish a consistent FBS product.

Congrats to SE for his success and putting himself in the best position to succeed. My bet is it will not be long before his name is floated as a legit HC candidate at a "name / power 5" program, a la Kirby Smart/Will Muschcamp/Etc...

Jeremy Pruitt made $260K at Alabama in 2012, $540K at FSU in 2013 and is expected to make $850K at Georgia in 2014.

This is completely irrelevant to the discussion about Shawn's raise but..."Great Stadium"? Are we both talking about Williams-Brice? In Columbia? At the deserted fairgrounds? The old gray concrete monster? If so, I'm assuming you've parked right up next to the facility, been escorted straight into an elevator, and on up to club level or a suite. Otherwise, the entire complex in and around is a complete dump. Let's put it this way: I dare say Kentucky has a nicer facility from top-to-bottom for the "average" fan and Commonwealth Stadium defines blah. Save the capacity, and the noise that can be generated since the endzone expansions (which is decent) and I would rank Williams-Brice as the 4th or 5th best football facility in the state of SC, per capita...even behind Dorman High School. But to each his own I suppose.

Another good season and I think Elliot could be getting in the top money range for his position from a school in need. He's definitely making a name for himself.
