WBB: UTC's Foster gets win #800

UTC's Jim Foster gets win #800, but only 17 were earned with his Mocs. His UTC team is 17-3 and a perfect 9-0 in the SoCon so far this season.

Is there (or is there not) a lesson here for Charlie Cobb as he nervously awaits decision time on Jason Capel's future?

From comments I've seen the reason he chose Chatty is that it sounds like he is looking for a nice city for he and his wife to retire in. Here is an example:

“Chattanooga has always been one of our favorite places, going back to the early 90’s when the SEC Tournament was hosted in the city,” stated Foster. “I have always had a favorable impression of Chattanooga because of that and have been back often with my wife. (Former Head Coach Wes Moore) has done an absolutely terrific job of building a program that I have a lot of respect for. I am ready to get to work.”

Also our mens program is no where near what their womens program was at under Moore. I think it is very unrealistic to try to compare our situation with theirs. We are not going to attract a hall of fame coach. I think that is an unfair weight to try to throw at Charlie.

Unless you want to find us someone on this list and give them a call and convince them to come to boone. If you could pull that off I may have to show up at the football tailgate of your choosing and roast up a real crow...but I think I'm safe there.
