We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

The Murray State Racers will play the final game of the season in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. The Racers host the Yale Bulldogs in the CIT championship game Thursday (April 3) in a 6 p.m. tip off at the CFSB Center in Murray, Ky. CBS Sports Network will air the game live to a national television audience. All MSU games are heard on Racer Radio on Froggy 103.7 FM. Online audio is available on Froggy103.com and GoRacers.com. The Racers (22-11) are looking for their first post-season title since taking the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title in 2012.

MSU and Yale (19-13) have each survived four tough games to reach the final. The Racers began their first appearance in the CIT with a road win at Missouri State (March 19). They've followed that with three straight home wins over Omaha, Towson and Pacific. Yale beat Quinnipiac at home (March 19) before winning three straight road games over Holy Cross, Columbia and VMI.

The Racers and Bulldogs have met only once and that was on a neutral court. In 1978, they met in Greenville, S.C. at the Poinsettia Classic where the Bulldogs won 71-63. MSU is 2-1 against the Ivy League with neutral court wins over Penn in 1984 in Portland, Ore., and Columbia in 1993 in Toledo, Ohio.

MSU has proved to be an offensive powerhouse in the CIT. In four wins, MSU is scoring 83 points per game and making 48 percent of their shots from the field. MSU has made as many free throws (60) as their opponents have attempted (60). Cameron Payne leads MSU with 19.8 points per game. The Racers are just a tick from having five players in double-figure scoring as lone senior Dexter Fields scores 9.8. Fields has been a hot shooter in the CIT in hitting 13-of-26 from 3-point range.

Fields has come to his final game as a Racer and is a loved and respected member of the team. Fields will be playing in his 65th game and making his 63rd start.

The Racers have won 14 straight games at home including going 8-0 this season in conference games. MSU is 16-1 at home this season with the one loss coming to Middle Tennessee (Nov. 26). This will be MSU's 18th home game of the season which is a program record. MSU played 16 home games three times in the seasons of 1982-83, 2003-04 and 2007-08. This set of home games mark the first time MSU has hosted post-season games since 1983 when Wake Forest visited old Racer Arena. MSU is playing in the CIT for the first time and Thursday's game marks MSU's 32nd all-time post-season game in their 23rd all-time appearance. MSU has 15 trips to the NCAA Tournament, seven to the NIT and now one to the CIT. The Racers are 6-3 in post-season games since 2010 which includes two wins in the NCAA's and four in the CIT.

The Racers have secured their fifth-straight 20-win season, the first in MSU history spanning 89 seasons. Billy Kennedy's teams were 31-5 and 23-9 in 2009-10 and 2010-11. Steve Prohm's first two teams went 31-2 in 2011-12 and 21-10 in 2012-13. In the last five seasons, the Racers are 128-37 (.775) and have averaged 25 wins per season. Steve Prohm has guided his program into it's second post-season in three seasons with the Racers. Prohm is the only coach in MSU history to win 20 games in his first three seasons.
