Carl Torbush hired Mike O'Cain as his offensive coordinator at ETSU yesterday. O'Cain was at JMU.

Hard to believe Cobb had him as a finalist for our head coach.

I like ETSU as a future sunbelt member. Close past rival with a good bball program to boot.

What makes them a prospect for the Belt? Has their administration expressed interest in them becoming a part of the SunBelt in the future? Just curious.

Large state school, good bball program, decent academics. Be a great travel partner.Would need large enough football stadium similar to SunBelt schools for consideration. It is just a personal opinion that I would like to see them there. No inclination whatsoever of ETSU or SUNBELT interest, just something I would like to see. As the closest larger sized public institution to App I feel it could be a fit.

Good points. I concur and recall the days when the ASU-Athletic programs competed to the point of a great rivalry. Travel was easy, if you don't consider the treacherous travel route in those days when the weather was bad. There was no good way to get there except through the Cherokee National Forest without adding much distance to the excursions.
