So, the "underlying" message (no pun intended) in their case is that this would have reared its ugly head at some point in the future regardless. So it was a time bomb waiting to explode. Better that they discover it now than in the middle of the football season.

How would you like to be the architect or the construction contractor for the $60 mil Allen High School Stadium (Allen Independent School District) in TX. It has been closed down for the remainder of the year. The Texas State Champion Allen team will have to pay rent to neighboring Plano ISD to play its "home" games. $60 mil high school stadium? Chump change in TX.

The stadium has been shut down due to structural cracks in the concrete on the main concourse. Can't you see the attorneys lining up to get a shot at this pending litigation?
