I wondered why Paul Magloire just dropped out of sight last fall. Now, I understand. He's signed with Rich Rod's Arizona Wildcats.

Consistency is really the only thing Paul Magloire is looking for these days. And it’s easy to see why.
A Fort Lauderdale, Florida, native, Magloire, who committed to Arizona on Thursday, played one season of high school football in his home state before enrolling at Milford Academy in New York for his final three seasons. There, he played mostly quarterback and a little defense.
A two-star recruit out of Milford, Magloire signed with Appalachian State as a quarterback.
He redshirted a season, and then after being moved to running back and playing three games this past season, he left school and transferred to Arizona Western.
And, oh yeah, Arizona Western is moving him to defense.
“It’s been a little wild, for sure,” Magloire said.
But thanks to his decision on Thursday, stability should be just around the corner for Magloire.
The former quarterback, who will play the 2014 season as a safety for Arizona Western, pledged to Rich Rodriguez and the UA hours after the staff offered him a scholarship.
As a member of the 2015 class, he will arrive in Tucson as a midyear enrollee after Arizona Western’s 2014 campaign.
“It was an offer I just couldn’t pass up,” said Magloire, who was one of 12 Appalachian State players to get a scholarship release after a new coach took over last season. “It’s a great coaching staff over there, and I was just comfortable with everything from the start.
“You can’t pass up on a staff that is doing so well in the Pac-12.”
Arizona coaches ended up with some film on Magloire from Arizona Western practices this spring, and were impressed with some of his instincts on defense.
He visited the campus last month for the UA’s spring game, and was hopeful an offer was coming.
It came Thursday, and he didn’t let it go by.
“It’s just good to know where I’m going and what’s in store for the future,” Magloire said. “Now I can just focus on winning games for Arizona Western and then Arizona.”
The safety said he was receiving increased interest in recent weeks and had talked to Iowa State, Cal and Oregon State, among other schools.
One factor that helped Arizona was Magloire’s friendship with running back Dami Ayoola. Ayoola, a former Illinois product who also plays at Arizona Western, committed to the UA earlier this week. The two visited the UA together last month, and were excited about the chance to play on the same team in 2015.
“We hang out a lot, and we talked about getting to play together a few times,” Magloire said. “It’s cool that it’s going to get to happen at Arizona.”
With Magloire and Ayoola, the Wildcats now have seven commitments for the 2015 class.

good to hear he has found a place he seems comfortable with and is excited about playing for the wildcats. From day one, it didn't seem he was comfortable in Boone, and once it became apparent that he wasn't going to be our qb, that pretty much sealed the deal he was gone. Its going to be tough getting on the field, having to learn a new position at a program like the wildcats, but I hope he does it, pulling for him.

12 scholarship players were released after JM left? I must of missed something somewhere along the way.

I cannot speak to his ability on the field, but everything I've heard about him from those in the football program gives me confidence that his departure is not a big loss. Not saying he was the only one and the rest of the team is perfect... but I'm not worried in the least about PM leaving.BeauFoster wrote:Missed the boat on that one it appears.
Good luck, Paul. All the best.
But above all - Go App!
