College Recruiting: Teven Jones has a new home

Unread post by asu66 » Fri Jul 18, 2014 10:00 am

Former Kannapolis (NC) AL Brown and UVA basketballer Teven Jones has landed a new home at DII Tarleton State in Texas. Tarleton State is a satellite campus of the Texas A&M System. Jones' very unselfish decision to leave prep school and enroll at UVA a semester early eventually came back to give him nightmares. UVA wanted him to transfer; he wanted to transfer, but DI teams couldn't deal with his 1.5 semesters of remaining eligibility. And the all-powerful NCAA ruled against his hardship application.

Good luck to Teven; a class act who deserved better.

What were the reasons given for his hardship application?
