The UNCheat administration has taken a dump in The Old Well.
I hope my alma mater never forgets why it exists...to educate students. As a matter of fact I will make that my first item to be thankful for tomorrow--that my diploma hasn't been sullied by a bunch of people who have forgotten their mission.
Jealous? Hardly.

Butler has beaten Cheat two years in a row now. By the way, my niece graduated from Butler. She received a good education there, she is currently a Physician's Assistant (PA).ASUPATCH wrote:Gotta hand it to the Butler bulldogs, beating UNC and actually attending class must be mighty tough when the opponents does't have to.

It amazes me at how quiet this message board gets when UNC is playing a football or basketball game.

It's late on a weekday during the offseason for football. Nothing to talk about.AppGrad78 wrote:It amazes me at how quiet this message board gets when UNC is playing a football or basketball game.

Just heard David Glenn say that John Calipari held a press conference today where he asked the UK fans not to make signs for tomorrow's game that poked fun at the UNC academic scandal --- Now if that doesn't take the cake??? ---

Why bother. Most of the UNC players couldn't read them anyway.WVAPPeer wrote:Just heard David Glenn say that John Calipari held a press conference today where he asked the UK fans not to make signs for tomorrow's game that poked fun at the UNC academic scandal --- Now if that doesn't take the cake??? ---

Surprise, surprise! The ginornius UNC whitewash is officially underway. Four heads have rolled to date--all underlings. The following WNCN-TV report is on-going. It has been updated once since I began this post.
Reporters are stalking UNC officials as they dodge and weave to avoid full disclosure. Stay tuned "As the UNC World Turns,'

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
And now it seems they've hired former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik to be their new defensive coordinator. Weren't some of the problems at Auburn under Chizik that football players weren't going to class and that they lacked discipline? How can that be a good hire for a program that should be trying to clean up its act?

I think the key there is " should be"DaphneUrquhart wrote:And now it seems they've hired former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik to be their new defensive coordinator. I don't have time to read the link but I heard about this on NPR coming home. I have a question.asu66 wrote:Surprise, surprise! The ginornius UNC whitewash is officially underway. Is the UNC-CH admin going after the faculty leader b/c she was involved 1) in giving away grades 2) did not give away grades but knew about it and told no one 3) knew nothing but should have given her faculty position? I was figuring either 1 or 2, but the radio report was not very clear on that and was focusing on the fact the UNC-CH admins were not releasing info as requested. The angle of the radio report was more about FOIA type problems than particulars about the staff.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
This does seem like a questionable hire??? - But it is UNC-CH
"Speaking of UNC, you'd think after the immense scandal they've just been through that they'd have better sense than to hire someone who has any link to, or even any allegations about, any shady business at all.
You would think wrong.
After this year's disastrous defensive performance, Larry Fedora has hired former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik to be his new defensive coordinator.
That would the same Chizik who was accused of running a program which fixed grades and bribed players.
Not surprisingly, Chizik denies the charges and Fedora, also not surprisingly, says the NCAA didn't prove anything, saying that "the NCAA, I know, reviewed all those allegations and couldn’t substantiate any of it. And so we’re very comfortable with his background and where he’s at."
That would be the same NCAA which investigated a supposed academic scandal at UNC and found absolutely nothing, and the same NCAA whose investigators were humiliated by some State students with a free afternoon which they took to discover the sources of a plagiarized paper."

Re: The Carolina Way (Cont'd)
That certainly mirrors what I wrote earlier. Why, with all the troublesome news out of Chapel Hill lately, would anyone think it's a good idea to hire Gene Chizik?WVAPPeer wrote:This does seem like a questionable hire??? - But it is UNC-CH
