I'm sure they will blame everyone other than those affiliated with athletics - they couldn't have known because, well, they are always above reproach --- :?

Well in the South we believe in 2nd chances (even 3rd and 4th's) so all can be forgiven if UNC will schedule a Home and Home Series with App! Not asking to much ;)

Be prepared for Appalachian State to be put on probation for this....

As an App State grad I am furious that the flagship school of the UNC System has tarnished the value of my degree with this nonsense that went on for 18 years.

I honestly don't believe that - I absolutely feel my daughter's degree from APP, your degree and all other APP State graduates should always hold their APP degree in the highest regard !!! --- only those who participated in this scam should feel any degree of tarnish !!! ---

The "it was only the football team" narrative is falling apart now.

"These paper classes were taken by students of all types, but were especially popular among
student-athletes, particularly those who played the “revenue” sports of football and men’s basketball"

"Student-athletes accounted for a disproportionately high percentage of
enrollments in the AFAM paper classes. [...] 50.9% were football players, 12.2% were men’s basketball players"

"A good number of these student-athletes were “steered” to the AFAM paper
classes by certain academic counselors in ASPSA. This steering was most
prevalent among the counselors for the revenue sports of football and men’s
basketball"

Roy's Boys have officially been implicated.

According to WRAL, I see that they've found that ROY has nothing to do with the academic fraud, but he tried to steer them in the correct academic path.

They are so full of it. The buck stops with ROY in the basketball program. Why he is relieved of any guilt is a travesty, that only the HOLES could get away with.

And there you have it. Tom Ross says that there will be reforms across the UNC "system".....

It goes further back than this. Dean Smith and Swofford created this crap back in the 90's.

Better share the burden of UNC-CH's fraud with their 16 subordinate, slave schools.

This in particular touched my heart. :)

Crowder was also passionate about Carolina athletics. Her affinity for Chapel Hill’s teams –
and particularly the men’s basketball team – was well known. She kept the men’s basketball
calendars on her office walls; her office was a regular gathering place for the players; and according
to several faculty members, she cared so much about the fortunes of the basketball team that she
was occasionally unable to come to work for a day or two after the Tar Heels lost a basketball game
.

You have to hand it to these Carolina die hards. The only way to describe their fanship is "religious," because it's 100% faith based and puts no stock in facts or evidence.

I've been lifting direct quotes from the report for twitter and I've been called "ignorant" and told I was "ignoring facts."

Dean coached further back than the '90s. Now that this farcical investigation is in the open, maybe someone associated to the Dean regime will be brave enough to put his life in jeopardy and step forward tell the truth. Rashad McCants did against ROY, but suddenly ate a tube of super glue when the $8,000 an hour investigator came knocking.

Now Carolina is investigated and suddenly the whole UNC or HOLE system will change the way things are done. Excuse me, the other 15 programs/universities haven't had a reason to be under the microscope.

Don't be naive……

This happens right here in Boone. Everyday.

It happens at every School… to some degree.

I'll begin by keeping it simple:

No. No it doesn't.
