GaState survived a furious Louisiana-Lafayette charge from 20 points down to earn an 83-79 win and a berth in tomorrow's SunBelt championship game. The Ragin' Cajuns slept through the first 28 minutes of play only to come alive and make a strong run at the Panthers. The hole was just too deep to climb out of.

Harrow played little due to injury. His presence in the lineup could be crucial in the final.

Did somebody set an "Obacha" screen on him?

Did Cobb hire the Georgia State coach?

;) ;)

I thought since Capel was/still is said to be fair game on here, a little dig at CC wouldn't hurt. Fair and balanced.

The Sun Belt Conference Tournament championship will be headed to Georgia on Sunday afternoon. Georgia Southern made sure of that with a 44-43 victory against the University of Louisiana-Monroe in the second semifinal of the tournament at UNO's Lakefront Arena on Saturday.

ULM guard Justin Roberson missed a shot in the lane at the buzzer that preserved the second-seeded Eagles victory. Georgia Southern's Curtis Diamond's 3-point shot with 1:49 left to play prove to be the difference in the game as it gave the Eagles the 44-43 lead.

The victory sends second-seeded Georgia Southern (22-8) into the noon title game against top seed and regular season champ Georgia State, which knocked off the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, 83-79, in the other Saturday semifinal.

The teams split their regular season meetings, with Georgia Southern winning at home, 58-54, on Feb. 5 and Georgia State winning last Saturday, 72-55, at home.
