Our old Nova "buddy"
Matt Szczur (Cubs) hit a home run off Clayton Kershaw last night --- he put on one of the greatest performances I have seen at KBS ---

Ahhh yes, all hail Mr. Szczur. If I remember correctly he rushed for like 3 TD's, passed for one, and caught one during one of the playoff games in Boone. Single handily whipped our a** all day.
I knew he was a two sport athlete after reading up on him after that game. Glad to see him make his way up the ranks to the big show, helluva player.

The Cubbies are recognized for having one of the top three or four farm systems in the Bigs. Their time is coming for post-season play. It will br good for organized baseball to see the Cubs become more relevant in September and October.
Szczur is but one of many young Cubs on the express elevator going "up."
That said, there's no forgiving him for the way he tore us apart in that playoff game. That's not supposed to happen at The Rock.
