Clemson's DL takes a hit
Dabo has dismissed Ebenezer Ogundeko (DE) from the Clemson football team. From what I understand, he was vying for a starting spot and was definitely looking at the 2-deep. They will be young across the DL.

I expect that our game plan will involve a heavy dose of #14 and #20. They lost 6 senior DL off the 3 deep and 2 starting LBs. Pound the rock!

hate to see any kid make such a stupid mistake and possibility ruin his life, but man, their defense is looking shaky, you guys are right, pound the rock, throw safe passes, eat up the clock, and keep their offense off the field.

I agree. Cox & Upshaw are bound to run all over the Tigers until they're exhaustedasucrutch23 wrote:I expect that our game plan will involve a heavy dose of #14 and #20. They lost 6 senior DL off the 3 deep and 2 starting LBs. Pound the rock!

They also lost a starting S and CB from last year.
They have a lot of new faces who I'm sure are very talented, but we all saw last year that it takes time to get that many young guys on the same page. Glad we are playing them early.

Re: Clemson's DL takes a hit
For first time in years, I think we will be able to move the ball against Clemson. They lost a TON of starters and I remember whay happened the last time a team (Michigan) lost a TON of starters on defense. BUT Clemson is no Michigan and Clemson's offense might be the BEST in the country.
Should be a fun game. I'll be there and can't wait!!

Re: Clemson's DL takes a hit
Now let me start off by saying I do not know DJ Reader personally and have only met him once or twice. But being from, and going to the neighboring high school, in Greensboro I know several people that do know him well. I was pulling for him to succeed at Clemson as I would pull for anyone from my home town to do well, unless they went to Georgia Southern, kidding….(kind of).
I have no idea why he has left the team but I do know that Reader's father passed away sometime in the past year so it may have something to do with that. So I hope he can work out his personal issues, if he has any, and return soon.
We should certainly game plan for his absence and try to take advantage of it. But lets also keep in mind that life is much bigger than football.
