I was flipping channels and found Central Michigan Kent State football on ESPN I bet there isn't 1000 people at that game. It's pretty sad.

I saw that chipman... I do wonder if trading Saturday for Tuesday w/TV is worth it.

I have been noticing Tuesday and Wednesday games on ESPN. The crowds are off at these games. I also dont think its good for the players. You either have to play Saturday and then turn around and play again on Tuesday or Wednesday. Or hopefully you have a bye week and then play. Either way you end up playing two games in a 4 day span. That isnt good and probably gets a lot of kids hurt. Im not even in favor of Thursday night games.

I believe anyone who plays on a Tuesday or Wednesday doesn't have a game the previous Saturday. Now Thursday is a different story.......

I believe that's the case too - or the following Saturday. It's actually a better setup than the Thursday games, plus you don't have to compete with the NFL for viewers.

I think the MAC is a bit different than most other conferences when they consider attendance vs midweek games (Tue-Thur). They have NEVER had respectable attendance for Saturday games. You have to take that into consideration. I am not a big fan of many non-Saturday games but in today's TV world the occasional Thurs game does present some value as it positions you in a slot with much less TV competition. I reiterate for App, "occasional" is the key. Two home games for me (I attended both this year) is a stretch but there was some National PR value achieved. I bet you if we had taken care of StAte like we did GaSouthern we would have entered the top 25 after that game partially because we got a national stage to do it on.

Friday High School
Saturday College
Sunday Pro
Done
Then for absolute sure any college team that plays on Friday night should be shunned by every high school coach in the country.

Understand your preference, but that ship sailed 45 years ago.

Tuesday night games have been struggling with attendance issues for years. It's too hard on the alumni and even the students have other commitments. Plus, families with school aged kids are not going to show.
It's merely selling your soul for exposure on the mother ship. Short term gain, long term detriment.
