Each coach can dole out the money as they see fit. Here is the start of a problem.

I don't understand the their math. Paying $600K and splitting evenly between men's and women's sports but they are paying men's basketball, women's bball and football. How does that work exactly?

I think it's actually a good move provided there are controls and governance in place to monitor the way it's doled out. I've always been a fan of pushing decisions further down in an organization as opposed to keeping all decisions at the top or applying a mathematical formula to something that really needs a bit of flexibility.bcoach wrote:Each coach can dole out the money as they see fit. We will see how it plays out though.

I agree in most business cases. I just think that when it comes to coaches giving out money this is a real bad idea. As you say though we will have to see.Yosef wrote:I think it's actually a good move provided there are controls and governance in place to monitor the way it's doled out.
