Let's just say CUSA's new contract after the market grab didn't go as planned.

Al Jazeera doesn't even exist anymore. It will be brocast by Bein Sports which is primarily a soccer channel viewed heavily in the Latino community.

I think its pretty funny, that couple of years ago, a lot of CUSA supporters were telling anyone that would listen, that the future tv contract would equal or surpass the current one, because replacing ECU, Memphis, Houston etc, with Charlotte, ODU, FAU, FIU would be more attractive to the tv networks, "they were up and coming programs, in these wonderful tv markets!! Well, reality is now setting in, the current lineup is has not impressed the networks, it looks like they will lose atleast half of their current deal, and they will end up broadcasting a majority of their games on stations, most of the country has not heard about or even care to watch. I will give them some credit, even faced with this reality, they still are finding positives, saying that their overall exposure has increased, and therefore in the long run, this is great for the conference moving forward....I guess when your given lemons....

I was listening to WFNZ the other day and they were giving a passing mention to UNCC and the "attractiveness" of the SEC asking them to join an expanded league( per the comment in the Charlotte Disturber)...This is the quote that had me rofl...."I bet Alabama can't wait to come to Charlotte and play in front of 15,000 screaming 49er fans........." The whole studio broke up.

Really? Al Jazeera? What a horrible embarrassment. Will they still be able to play the National Anthem before games?

What we have here is a huge can of worms, slick corporate attorneys, money-laundering and semantics. Al Jazeera America officially turned off the lights last month. The "big" Qatar-based Al Jazeera Networks is alive and growing by leaps and bounds.
bein Sports is the spinoff name of the former Al Jazeera Sports. It still gets its major capital funding from its silent partner--Al Jazeera Networks.
bein Sports America will get its "oil-stained" capital and much of its staff from Al Jazeera Networks. In this sense, anyway, C-USA has gone international on us.

With CUSA being cut by over 50%, plus having to split their money pie 14 ways, they'll be close to level with the Sun Belt after 2017 (when the league goes to 10) in per-team revenue.

"Hail Mary" will be replaced with "Allahu Akbar" and of course women are no longer permitted to view the games.

Al Gore owned Current TV and sold it to Al Jazeera.
