I was reading the Big 12 list of candidates article and saw the following link. The title of the article should be "This Is The Most Stupid List Ever Put Together" Interestingly enough I think 3 of our conference brethren made the list. The only weird thing about this list is the list. BUT! if you are looking for something to keep you out of 96 degrees and want something to make you say whaaaaaat? Check it out.

Since when did "weird" become a term for "poor attendance?"
You want a weird college football stadium? You can't beat WSSU's Bowman-Gray Stadium. The thing has a race track around it.

It is not a weird football stadium, it is a weird race track with a football field in the middle. I don't know the numbers, but I would hazard a guess that racing draws as much if not more that WSSU.hotrod2001 wrote:Since when did "weird" become a term for "poor attendance?"

That's what I do. I gripe and I know things.

Yeah I go there all the time and they easily put 20,000 in the track every week, which is astounding for a local race tracks which most are lucky to draw a couple thousand to their weekly programs.appgrouch wrote:It is not a weird football stadium, it is a weird race track with a football field in the middle. Except for Homecoming (~15K) last year, WSSU's best attendance was around 4.3K.hotrod2001 wrote:Yeah I go there all the time and they easily put 20,000 in the track every week, which is astounding for a local race tracks which most are lucky to draw a couple thousand to their weekly programs.appgrouch wrote:It is not a weird football stadium, it is a weird race track with a football field in the middle. UT San Antonio, I think that was the one, looks like a prison.
