Sun Belt Games to be aired on American Sports Network
Not sure what to think of this, ASN's the Sinclair Broadcast Group sports network that C-USA uses, but they're not exactly the Worldwide Leader In Sports when it comes to their production (if the broadcast actually works) At least the games are still on ESPN3

The key to this deal it allows the games to still be broadcast on ESPN3, thus not limiting exposure and putting games on TVs in limited areas.
"While games on ASN will be broadcasts on “over-the-air” and cable affiliates, they will also be available without blackout restrictions on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app."

This will get games on local television which is always a plus. WCCB in Charlotte is the ASN affiliate, which is how I watched the ODU game last year.

Wish I would have stayed home for that one. The rain and wind were miserable.mtnjax wrote:This will get games on local television which is always a plus. WCCB in Charlotte is the ASN affiliate, which is how I watched the ODU game last year.

More games on TV is never a bad thing for the conference especially when they were games that weren't going to be on TV anyways.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but I didn't think the weather was actually that bad during the game. Now, at other parts of the weekend, yeah. We had a blast at ODU though, and made a long weekend of it. Would like to see us schedule them again.ashugh wrote:/\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:Wish I would have stayed home for that one. Re: Sun Belt Games to be aired on American Sports Network
Majority of the game the weather wasn't bad. Early on it wasn't the greatest. I was sitting in the App State section near where App's locker room located behind the endzone. I remember the poor placement of the flag pole, scoreboard/screen, terrible sound system, and that damn cannon that they fired when I was walking back to my seat and I was about 50 feet away. I would enjoy another trip to Norfolk, hopefully once they get their stadium upgraded. Ok...Back to the discussion about how more television exposure is great for App State.EastHallApp wrote:Not to sidetrack the thread, but I didn't think the weather was actually that bad during the game.
