StAte v. UL

Red Wolves look good on both sides of the ball. UL, on the other hand, looks really bad.

Pretty lopsided at the half. 34-3

ULL ran into a focused team that remembered last year. Interesting fact the road team in this series has only won three times.

ULL got of to a horrible start and just never recovered. Their freshman QB (who will be a very good one) played like a freshman unfortunately. ArkSt look fast on defense and ULL looked incredibly slow.

I recognize that Ark tempo. Pretty good and I miss ours.

Watched a good portion of this one and Ark St was fast on both sides of the ball. That play right before half where Hansen faked the spike on like the 4 yrd line with 7 secs left and hit a receiver for a TD was gutsy. ULL was just standing around expecting the spike. I know we hate them with as much passion as the Stink but you can't deny their dominance in Sunbelt play. That offense was movin' quick. They won't be tested again until the last game of the season against Troy.

New Mexico St. might give them a challenge, especially playing in Las Cruces.

I don't have anywhere near the dislike for stAte that I do for GS. They just happen to be one of the better teams in the conference we joined. They do look pretty good right now, though I also think NM State will challenge them.

Tempo tempo? It was supposed to be called the jet if I’m mistaken? But we have never had a quick tempo never so ...always looked to the sideline.

Just a reference point about Ark St that some may not know. Anderson and their staff's recruiting is not for the long term. As it stands right now just short of half of their scholarship players (41) are "other than high school" recruits. JUCO's and transfers. Most of last years class were in that category. That's not the way you build any team, much less one where you're looking to be for even a few years. It can bring you quick wins but you will pay a steep price at a later point. Most times, when I see recruiting like that, the coach is gone ASAP, either by moving on or having it blow up in their face.

If they'd ever win OOC games he'd be hired away, instead he will continue reloading with Jucos and transfers.

They will be a tough win next with that QB and line play.
