This Doesn't Look Good

Check out my post in the "Group of five" thread. There is a link to an article written about the CUSA meeting and quotes from the commish. For those holding out for a CUSA invite I wouldn't hold my breath after two of his comments. You'll see which ones. I did a breakdown of his remarks.

Based on the article you posted would Ark State and Western Kentucky fall in their plans? It doesn't seem like it, but MTSU went to CUSA. I really wish MTSU would have stayed in the SBC.

I don't think either would, based on what he said. That was kinda my point. These guys talk out of both sides of their mouths or more appropriately out of their mouth and another place a little further south.

We really can't believe anything these guys say. They contradict themselves from day to day. I said this in another post but what is happening today won’t be the same as tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, or possibly even 4 or 5 years from now. This situation is fluid and will remain so for a while to come. There could be anything from status quo, to three D-1 subdivisions, to 5 or 6 new regional conferences, to an NFL Collegiate Development League with a new D-1 under it and current, smaller FCS schools as D-2, to who the heck knows.

Or there could be nothing at all. It's only going to take a couple of successful multi-million dollar concussion lawsuits for football as we know it to be gone.

Boils down to get our foot in the door and transition to FBS ASAP.
All else does not matter right now.
Hell, some of these FBS schools have been in three conferences the last two years.
