Re: New Sun Belt Logo
I like the secondary logo better. Also prefer the more traditional gold than athletic gold. It is hilarious Ga Suthrn's logo features women's volleyball!

After an initial, meh reaction, the new logo has really grown on me. I would like to see the alternate logo use on uniforms and the primary on fields & courts.

If you have to have a contest to see who can figure out what it represents, then you have missed it. Come on folks, admit it. It looks like someone remembered 15 minutes before the meeting that they were supposed to come up with a logo. I know we are all trying to be positive but, really?

I'm not lying when I say that I sincerely like this new logo. It's a huge upgrade over the old logo, and it shows that the conference is willing to make changes that will lead to success.bcoach wrote:If you have to have a contest to see who can figure out what it represents, then you have missed it. App could have moved to the SEC and there would be a few that would find things to complain about.

Sorry I didn't get the memo that said only one opinion was acceptable. then again there probably wasn't one. The memo that I missed was probably the one that said only certain peoples opinions were acceptable. You know, the ones that are allowed to give negative comments.Gonzo wrote:Your negativity is starting to sound like a talking point.bcoach wrote:That comment is starting to sound like a talking point.ASU-FTW wrote:I'm sure he would much rather be in the SoCon.Kgfish wrote:I'm sure you could have done much better.bcoach wrote:If you have to have a contest to see who can figure out what it represents, then you have missed it. Re: New Sun Belt Logo
My comment had nothing to do with moving conferences. It had to do with a logo that nobody understands. I would suggest that if you took off the candy and just left the verbiage it would look just fine.TheMoody1 wrote:Kgfish wrote:I'm sure you could have done much better.bcoach wrote:If you have to have a contest to see who can figure out what it represents, then you have missed it. Just saying, man. Pretty much everything you post is negative. I'm sure I'm not the only one that rolled my eyes at that assessment of the logo.bcoach wrote: Sorry I didn't get the memo that said only one opinion was acceptable. then again there probably wasn't one. You may be over thinking this whole logo thing.

You also know me to say so when I am wrong, so tell me what that circle is supposed to be.Gonzo wrote:Just saying, man. Pretty much everything you post is negative. I also don't get the negative tag.

Re: New Sun Belt Logo
And if you read it backwards it says "Tlebnus," or "Paul is dead."
It's a LOGO. Colorful, bold, and appealing.
For the love of God, come quickly, September.
Could be much worse:

Re: New Sun Belt Logo
It's a sun. The center of the circle is white (the sun), and the lines represent rays. The four areas that are black (in App's) indicate the belt going across the sun. Hence, Sun Belt. I don't find it very confusing, plus it's just a logo.bcoach wrote:You also know me to say so when I am wrong, so tell me what that circle is supposed to be.Gonzo wrote:Just saying, man. As I said, it's an improvement on the old logo and while maybe not the greatest logo ever, it's not that bad. I'm not sure what more you were looking for.
