Fixed - just remove everything before the 'v=' portion. IDK why it has to be complicated though.Gonzo wrote:

And this is supposed to be newsworthy how? Of course C-USA is not interested in us now. The reasons for wanting us in the conference (what few there were) shrunk with ECU leaving.YesAppCan wrote:NO MENTION OF APPALACHIAN STATE
At this point it's safe to say it's Sun Belt or nothing. And, as I said when Maryland jumped, if this trickles down to the mid-majors and we don't get the call because of it, that call probably isn't ever coming. I really think it's now or never.

"It's Not news-worthy"....
No it's not. That's my point, we are no news in C-USA, it's time to move on to Sun Belt.
... And I agree, it's now or never.

At the pace things are happening we should know by this time tomorrow who will be the two new teams in the Sun Belt.

Not necessarily. So far CUSA has acted fast, but the SBC hasn't done anything proactive and they have done nothing in the past to indicate that their response will be a quick one.TheMoody1 wrote:At the pace things are happening we should know by this time tomorrow who will be the two new teams in the Sun Belt.
I'm confident, but Benson isn't exactly Billy the Kid on the draw.
I'd love to hear about a move to the SBC before the game Saturday though.

My bet is before the kids' bedtime tonight. That would be 19:30 for those counting.TheMoody1 wrote:At the pace things are happening we should know by this time tomorrow who will be the two new teams in the Sun Belt.

I don't see any reason they would need to hurry. It is not like their pool of potenial candidates has anywhere else to go.

Even if they finalize an invite to us for the Sun Belt, I don't think we say anything until after playoffs. At this point, winning the game Saturday is more important and no need to get our players minds else where..

Agree, I don't see the Sunbelt adding new members tomorrow. However, other than NMSU, all the other candidates are currently FCS. After MTSU and FAU leave they will be down to 8 teams.TheMoody1 wrote:Gonzo wrote:Not necessarily. The NCAA requires 8 all sports members to be recognized as a FBS conference. So they are on thin ice if another school is poached. Current FCS members will need 3 years to make the transition to FBS. So we won't see the Sunbelt waiting around forever. The Sunbelt would be foolish to wait more than a month as that would essentially cost any current FCS team a recruiting season with the FBS label.
