There was such a disconnect between the way some of those fans viewed their program (I guess you could say "were led to view") and the way it was viewed from the outside. They were all talking about having this huge breakout year where they become nationally relevant. Meanwhile just about every single outlet that produced rankings was naming App as the team to beat in the SBC and the dark horse for the NY6. And those stAte fans just didn't get it. It drove them nuts that App (and to a lesser extent GS) were viewed as the programs on the rise when they had won all these Sun Belt titles. Guess now they are feeling like they were sold a bill of goods, but from the outside, it always seemed a little far-fetched to think a bunch of P5 outcasts were going to take their program to the next level.ComebackShack wrote:
These players believed their own hype. Blake Anderson said publicly this season that he thought this team could go 12-0. He actually stated the team's goal was to play in the Cotton Bowl.

stAte -5 in turnovers - that's MINUS FIVE - and they have the ball down 6 with just under five minutes to play.

Next time I'm feeling like complaining about Taylor Lamb, remind me to go watch some of these other Sun Belt QBs play.

Honestly I kind of hate it for the league. But not for #FailSouthern.

Re: A-State vs. Gawja Suthun discussion
The bad thing is that A-State could go 8-0 in the Sun Belt (they do play Troy) and be co-champs if we go 8-0. Wouldn't surprise me. They went 1-3 in OOC last season before going 8-0.

Im not sure who told GSU that belly shirts on Olinemen was a good look, but they were mistaken. Human eyes were not meant to see that much gut at one time. Leave the belly shirts to Brittany Spears.

Ok when was the last time GASO had more passing yds than rushing in a game? Last night, 14/22 203; rush 45-162 3.6 avg. Breida was 10-42.... To me it makes them way more average. Kevin Ellison is just not a throwing QB.

Before last night Breida had only one run for 20 or more yards this season. Teams around the conference are adjusting some. Monroe had a chance to beat them as well.AppFan11 wrote:Ok when was the last time GASO had more passing yds than rushing in a game? Last night, 14/22 203; rush 45-162 3.6 avg. Breida was 10-42.... Re: A-State vs. Gawja Suthun discussion
He threw for 203 yards. I would say he has that ability. The problem is with the talent that they have at RB is wasted if they abandon the run. I also think they went that route because their QBs are banged up. Without the threat of the QB on the option the ruining game is less effective.AppFan11 wrote:Ok when was the last time GASO had more passing yds than rushing in a game?
