Idaho has the offense and senior leadership to get them to a bowl. There's two wins to be found in their final four games (after they lose to App of course).

Hate to say it but Arkansas State might have turned a corner.

SBC wrap up:

App's defense dominates

Idaho's QB if he is given time is one of the top QBs in the SBC, I hope they make a bowl, but hope we get pressure on him next week. Our pass defense will be tested. NMSU isn't good.

Ark St. has a good athletic defense. They lose a conference game maybe two however as they can't score enough, bland offense. USA is a good team, but hard to say why based on conference games.

Troy is a well coached team that wore down GA St yesterday, similar to App. GA St has a good defense, terrible QB play when they face a good D.

ULM is a middle of the pack conference team, Texas St has no depth however.

GS still banged up and offensive line is average at best right now hope it stays that way.

We need Troy to beat Ark St. I would hate to go undefeated and have to share a title. This is assuming we don't stumble ourselves. Ark St has Troy and GaSt that could give them fits.

Appears this weekend homecoming game will be more competitive than I originally thought. Focus, one game at a time. Go Apps!

We need to be very physical with Idaho, they are a finesse team and if their QB has time he will score in bunches.

Looking forward to watching Troy @ USA Thursday, I think Troy wins by 17. Statement game on national TV.

I think Texas St. gets up on ULL early, only to lose late as they have zero depth.

GS over NMSU big unfortunately and they rest the starters in the 4th.

ULM lost their QB and lose to NM by 20.

GA St. shuts out UT-Martin.

Yeah, Linehan can pick a defense apart if left alone. Hope Woody sends the troops early and often. Go Apps!

I would love for our defense to pitch another shutout. Very interesting predictions on the other thread. Defense has been dominate in conference games but many predictions have us giving up over 20 points- in what could be tough conditions. That being said do we want another game pretty much over at half time with a scrimmage second half? Hoping for a complete game in all phases.

I was thinking about this yesterday...I think we have the upper hand against ga southern next week.

1. They have a 5 hour flight to I'm assuming El Paso because the airport near NMSU does not have a direct flight from Savannah
2. One hour ride to and from airport to NMSU
3. Two hour time difference (game should end around midnight EST)
4. That puts them getting back on bus to head to airport around 12:30-1 am EST
5. 5 hour flight to Savannah arriving back in Georgia around 6ish (does anyone really get a good night's sleep on a plane??)
6. One hour bus ride back to statesboro, arriving to campus around 7-7:15

That's a lot of travel time, not to mention the 2 hour time difference.

1984, I thought about that yesterday. App's game with Idaho will be over by the time GS and NMSU kickoff tomorrow night. This is the Eagle's 4th road game in a row. They won't get back to campus until early Sunday morning and have to get prepared for a short week showdown against a rival. The schedule makers did GS no favors.

Didn't we have some type of similar crappy situation two years ago? Didn't we play in Alabama the Saturday prior to the Thursday night game in statesboro?

Yes, it was at Southern Miss (a Saturday night game, I believe) and then the Thursday road game at Georgia Southern in 2014. Also, regarding GS's schedule this year, they played Georgia Tech last week so they're probably a little beat up. Troy should handle Arkansas State so that'll knock them out. The GS game should be a win for us. I think the conference will be decided when we visit Troy. Troy nearly beat Clemson (we nearly beat Tennessee) so it should be like 2 heavy weight fighters duking it out. I'm trying to figure out how I can get down there...

One thing in their favor is preparation for the next 2 games. I know your not supposed to look past teams but NMSU does not offer much of a challenge to GSU. I would not be surprised if the coaches are already planning for us and working on the midweek game. We do not have that luxury with a decent Idaho team coming in. Preparation wise, they may have the better time scenario and they are at home which also helps . . . they plane travel late Saturday, we bus travel midweek.
