Re: ULL v GS
Will be interesting to see if the fan base is patient with the O transition. This might get uglier before it gets better. Very similar to their mid-2000's attempt at progression into a 21st century O.

Re: ULL v GS
It's really interesting to notice offensive line play. I have read a few comments about our opponents and occasionally there is a reference to the "huge" lines we face. As it turns out some of the G5 linemen are just fat dudes who wear down quickly or are too slow footed to stop quicker, smaller d linemen. We seem to have the right idea. Recruit 6'4" guys who weigh 260 and then give them a year to add 30 lbs of muscle instead of going after the 300lb 18 year old who is just fat and simply dominated much smaller high school kids.YesAppCan wrote:Worst offensive line I've EVER seen GS have.

Bingo. I distinctly remember posts on here from a couple years ago around signing day fretting because GS was signing some 330 pound kids and our OL recruits were all 250-270. How would we ever compete?bigdaddyg wrote:It's really interesting to notice offensive line play. Good rule of thumb: If a 17-year-old kid who's 6'5", 315 can actually move and play, he probably isn't coming to the Sun Belt.

And just to echo this point. Who is the fat ass D lineman for Stink who was constantly trying to pull his jersey down over his gut? Sapp?EastHallApp wrote:Bingo. I hope that they give Summers a chance to get his players in to run his system. We are starting to see that Breida is an average back that thrived in a gimmick offense.
