SBC Baseball Tourney

Georgia Southern and South Alabama meet today in the SBC title game. Because of all the rain this week, it was reduced to a single elimination tournament. Good chance the Sun Belt is a one bid league this year.

USA won in extra innings. They are the only Sun Belt squad to make the NCAA tournament. They are a #3 seed in a four team pod with So Miss, Miss State, and Ill-Chicago. UNCG from the SoCon is in the field. Davidson from the A10 and Radford from the Big South are also in the tournament.

Seems odd that Coastal Carolina doesn't muster a bid despite being the defending champion and ranked in the top 20.

A 2-8 record v. the top 50 and an RPI of 59 is why.
