Not a good look for the conference with regards to strength of schedule

Bad, bad loss for the Belt.

The Sun Belt is still the worst conference. I think we have some teams that are regularly better teams than any in CUSA, but we have so many stinkers at the bottom of our ranks it's hard to deny that we're 10th of 10.

I'm not sure we have "so many" stinkers. Right now we have GSU (very disappointing start for Elliot) and probably Texas St. (hopefully better than last year). NMSU gave Arizona State a game last night and could probably compete with anyone in the bottom half of CUSA. ULM is looking improved although hasn't really proven anything. CUSA has teams at the same level (FIA, FAU, Charlotte, North Texas).

The Belt definitely has room for improvement but I don't think we are any worse than CUSA and probably even compare favorably with the MAC.

Poor showing for GSU, new coach, new stadium, new year . . . they have to win that game.

Couldn't agree more! Very poor start. Huge missed opportunity. I hope Shawn can get things back on track for them. I can't help but remember how it felt in 2013 when we lost to Charleston Southern, NC A&T...and then Liberty in 2014. The lesson there is that poor starts CAN be turned around.

Looks like the OL and QB play were both really bad. I bet Shawn steps in and addresses the OL personally (if they have the personnel), but they didn't have a QB last year and apparently still don't. The Defense was really disappointing though. Really weren't any positives to this game that I can identify.

4 TOs and can't stop the run, doesn't look good for them like that.
