Should we be worried about NMSU?

Wow the Aggies almost took out the ASU Sun Devils today. I'm didn't watch the game so i'm not sure if NMSU is vastly improved or if ASU is lagging but we might not want to overlook them on Homecoming if that's how they play the rest of the year.

Worry is a wasted emotion, but certainly shouldn't look past.

Personally, I don't worry about any of the games. I leave all that to the coaches. I try really hard to be in the stands cheering from band entrance to "The Tennessee Waltz"; that's it - that's the limit to my responsibility.

I am glad we're playing them at home this year and have no doubt the coaches and players will be ready for NMState ... when the time comes.

Let's "worry" about UGA for now. I will worry about NMSU when it is game week.

I guess "worry" wasn't the right term.

I guess I was more wondering about that game, was NMSU good or was ASU just bad? On paper it should have been an easy ASU win.

IF it is the former, Homecoming should be interesting.

Az St is struggling. Their coach is on the hot seat this year.

I hope not, that is going to my kids' first App game!

Seriously though, I do think NMSU has their best team in years and we shouldn't look past them.

You cannot overlook anybody. I wish NMSU well in every game, except against us. If ever a program needed some good karma, it's the boys from Las Cruces. Go Apps!

They just knocked off the Lobos. Good for them, I sometimes catch their games since they're later times and it's sad to see their fans practically non-existent in a stadium that nice and with their own sports network.

It's a little ironic that it seems that both teams getting the boot from the conference seem to be having a bit of resurgence the last couple of seasons.

For the record, Az State dropped a game yesterday to SDSU. That's a great G5 team, no doubt, and we should still take every opponent seriously, but it does seem the Sun Devils might be missing a step.

I don't know about "worry" but they do have an NFL TE and RB. They're much improved.

They beat NM last year as well so it's not like this was a historic win. They are likely better than last year, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're good.

We are missing the Coastal game for a wedding. And BOTH the Bride and Groom are App Grads and season ticket holders

Is a win over the Lobo's really that big? Don't they generally stink? Wouldn't use the word worry. Never take any team lightly but we should easily handle them.

Usually, yes, but they've improved under Bob Davie. Went 9-4 and tied for their MWC division title last year (with Boise and Wyoming).

Myself, my daughter and my then future son-in-law (both APP grads - all season-ticket holders) had a mutual agreement - NO WEDDING DURING FOOTBALL SEASON !!!

We should get a sense of how good NMSU is this weekend as they host Troy.
