Not a good opening weekend for the Sun Belt vs the big boys, although Ark State gave Nebraska a good game.

Just consider than, the Nebraska team that stAte played had exactly the same number of votes (4) in the pre-season AP poll as App did. They played well against an historically strong program, but Nebraska is not what they once were.

NMSU played the spoiler roll till the end with Troy. Similar to our game in Texas in some ways.They have gotten better. Reminds me of the old saying , you either are moving forward or backward,there is no treading water.Seems like the teams at the bottom of the Belt might be moving up ...
