Baseball and POTENTIAL Sunbelt possibilities

In a separate previous thread several postings referenced the cold weather and it’s affect on baseball.

If we think we’ve got it cold, think about those conferences to the north. If we have bad weather, we can switch a home game series south with one of our conference partners (they are all south of us). But those “up north” conferences — all they can do is cancel games. Thank you Sunbelt!

Maybe in baseball we should not bave a home game for the first several weeks. Then have lots of home games on the back end when its warm in Boone.

Possible???

I thought about that but if you front load your conference schedule with weekly road series, wouldn’t that potentially put you in a hole when you get your home back end home games?

That certainly appears to be the case at present.

Yes, it could put us in a “hole”. A first 3 game series at Troy, GS or S Alabama (etc) would be a challenge, much like FB schedules Penn State, Georgia (etc). It doesn’t seen to have hurt them too much by the end of the season.

If Coach KS knows he’s got a couple of conference road series to start with he can prepare. May even be better knowing they will all be played and in above freezing weather.

This probably would never happen... but it’s worth the discussion. Thanks!
