Troy v Ga State

Watching this game tonight on the laptop. Currently tied at 7 but honestly neither of these teams look that good. If Ga State wins, they get bowl eligible.

Ga State looks to be the better, more explosive team. They are now up 21-7 after a 60 something yard rushing touchdown. Troy seems slow on d, don't think they can handle our team speed.

They are gashing Troy with runs right up the middle. Just went up 28-14.

Shawn Elliott is having himself a year! I'll pull for GaSt against anyone else in the SB until we go down there to remind Elliott what real App State football looks like!

Me too, I would like to see them win them all except for against us. Beating UT and Army are big out of conference wins, but that Texas State loss is a real head scratcher.

I will certainly be there! If today's game had been later in the day I would have been tuners too. Hard to drive 11 hours for a noon EST start.

I called this week wanting 2 additional tickets for Georgia State and we were sold sold out of our allotment so I expect a big crowd.

Georgia State gives them away. Just come down and you will get in for less than 20.

Ga State just closes the door with another long td run by Trey Barnett to make it 52-33. Barnett had a huge night and set multiple records for the Panthers with well over 200 yards on the ground and multiple touchdowns. Neither team showed much defense at all but the Panthers do have some good players on offense. Troy is a long way from a good team and the Panthers may be the second best team in the conference this year. They are now 6-2 and bowl eligible, only the second Sun Belt team to become bowl eligible. SE is doing a great job down in Atlanta this year.

Did notice Troy threw for 421 yds but ran less than 100, I’m sure that’s from trying to play catch up. But looks like you can throw on GASt.

I don't think either team can challenge us at all. Ga State has some offense but little to no defense and Troy has zero defense and look slow on offense as well. I do not think Ga State can move the ball on our defense. They were opening huge holes all night, and our DL just doesn't get blown up like that. We will make them very one dimensional because their qb can't throw that well at all.

Georgia state is going to be a dog fight. If you don’t see that then you are blind . They will be on a high against us like no other especially if we beat SC .

They are primarily a rushing team and we do really well against the rush. We have already faced better backs than they have and our D has held them all in check. I have no question that we do the same to them. If we shut down their rushing attack, I don't believe their qb can throw well enough and consistently enough to beat us. I have no question that they will give us their best, I just don't think that their best is nearly enough to beat us. They give up around 35 points per game on Defense, so I know they can't stop us on that side of the ball.

We’ve got a large group hitting the game on Saturday and then Sunday Eric Church and Luke Combs are in concert at Mercedes Benz Stadium at 5:00 - all in for APP weekend in the ATL!

GaSt is definitely the sleeper of the East. Gotta be careful with them for sure.

If App beats GaSo and Troy loses one of their next two, then App goes into Atlanta on Nov. 16 with a chance to wrap up the East Division.

We will have to play better than we did against South Allie.
