After I've heard things like this from various people about various conferences and all the chatter on here for the past however long.....I'll believe it when they make the official announcement.

It's seems like these "done deal" things are always posted by newbies...

If this person isn't right, I think we should have him/her banned from this site.

Breaking news about App always comes from posters who list their school as Coastal Carolina.

Monday? If they're going to announce it today would be better. That would give us something else to party about this weekend.

You can say that but if you look at BooneTowns last post with news it was the non-conference opponents we didn't know about and he was right. Not saying he's right here but I wouldn't go to slamming him yet either.

FWIW...an Arkansas State fan posted this on the SunBelt board a few minutes ago...

I don't know for sure how many will join. I was just told that as of right now App St is a lock. They've already committed to the Belt and in the process of filling out the paper work. That is all I have heard as of today. I do know GaSo and NMSU are likely the next two in line. I will go on record and say that WKU might not be the only school leaving the Belt. Take it for what it's worth.

Are we having fun yet?

I hope he's right...just an observation.

If the time clock is correct on both boards Boone Town's post was about twenty something minutes before the Sun Belt poster made his first post about App State being voted in by phone and having accepted.
Even though he only has 3 posts, less than 3 weeks as a member here, it seems that he may very well be onto something (unless he is that same poster).

We heard this was going to happen last May (maybe even from the same poster on the Sun Belt board). Still nothing. I'll believe it when it's official. We've waited 35 years, what's a few more days. Patience, grasshoppers.

If one is to believe all the message board material, ASU and GSU were done deals yesterday, but it fell apart over NMSU.

Gotta take the offer when it comes, but I'm not too excited about sending our baseball/track/tennis/softball teams to Las Cruces.

Glenn, I got the feeling reading (below) that maybe the SBC is just considering NMSU for football only...
