Re: “The Sunbelt game of the year”
I know where you’re coming from (it should’ve had “so far” tacked on at the end), and it made me jump up from supper! Lol! But they ARE the ones undefeated right now... doesn’t help that we weren’t able to play UL last week either. Our loss (for better or worse), along with these two having unblemished records so far, will have us in the shadows until we can prove otherwise...

To be fair, have we looked good in any game we’ve played this year?

Oh, ok. I didn’t rewind or anything, but I would’ve sworn they said “of the year” too. That makes me feel better though. This game is very reminiscent of our first UL game last year.

They both have BIG12 wins and are undefeated. One of them is ranked and the other is just outside the top 25.
This is absolutely the Sun Belt game of the year at this point.

Dang, Coastal grinds it down the field for Score and Louisiana flies down to tie it up. Two different offenses for us to prepare for.

The commentators of tonight's game seem very confident that the Conference Title Game will be played between Coastal and Louisiana.

We would’ve had more wiggle room with a UL win. Anyway, all we got to do is win out.

Re: “The Sunbelt game of the year”
We beat ourselves pretty well at Marshall, started cold and finished strong against the other teams we’ve played. I don’t think we look like “App football” in the games we’ve played but we’re not outright terrible.boonetown1 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:51 pmTo be fair, have we looked good in any game we’ve played this year?
ULL looked awful against the run, and we look solid there once again. I’m honestly more worried about Coastal at this point.

Frankly, given the results Coastal is the team to beat in the East. They still have a tough road to travel but a road win at UL is big. To be fair we have yet to look as good as either of those two and certainly don't have a win that rivals either. The State game takes on even more significance.

Don't tell Georgia State, they're planning their rematch with LaLahapapp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 15, 2020 5:01 amFrankly, given the results Coastal is the team to beat in the East. Re: “The Sunbelt game of the year”
The East is the strong point of the conference. I really don’t see anyone challenging ULL in the west unless ark state can win out. That November-December schedule for us will be tough.booneboy92 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 10:14 pmWe would’ve had more wiggle room with a UL win. Anyway, all we got to do is win out.
GA St -> Coastal -> Troy -> ULL -> Southern

Seems like we have't played in ages. I have no idea what we're going to look like when we play again.
