ULL just looks bad. They didn’t just lose their coach, a lot of talent left as well.

So is ULL that bad?
Or is USM that good?

It's been difficult to say this year who's bad or good in the SBC East.
Each week of the season paints a different picture.

Bunch of turnovers and blocked kicks. Two fairly even crappy teams

Surprisingly, a ranked Tulane’s only loss was to USM.

The SunBelt has quite a few teams with Jeckle & Hyde syndrome this season, including App so far unfortunately. I'm optimistic that we turned a corner in the last game. We can't take anyone light going forward. The rest of our conference games could be an L if we don't play well, or a win by 3 scores if we do. This has been the craziest season of college football that I can remember.

Louisiana has definitely dropped off and USM has improved from a fairly low point. Either is still dangerous, but neither is exactly "good." That would be my high altitude summary at least.
