Not sure how they will use him, probably a couple rounds early.

on NFL network, they were saying that Jeff Monken thinks McKinnon should really be playing Safety and some people think he could step in right away at that spot

Once you get past the first couple of rounds, it is very difficult to make much of an argument that a player is being drafted too early or too late. The differences in players (being less clear) and in team needs (which can be vast) makes round 3 and forward picks extremely difficult to grade. At the combine, McKinnon ran a 4.4 40-yards, had a 40-inch vertical leap, and benched 225 lbs. 32 reps. -- some of the best stats of any RB at the combine. He had generally been slotted as a 3rd or 4th round pick I think, so he probably went about where projected.

5'9" safety in the NFL in the third round = reach! I would be upset if the panthers made a pick like that.

Vikes have not said he is slotted for safety.

yeah, the Vikings didn't say that. it was just something that was brought up by Mayock or Eisen i think from a conversation they had a with Monken.
