The afternoon of the Liberty game seems ages ago. What a rebound! Go App!

Maybe a moot point now, but nobody's saying our win over Troy was one of the two worst teams in the league anymore.

If Troy lands the right staff, look out. I was really shocked by our margin of victory over them. Even Idaho, the record not showing it, has improved their play. Last year's 1-11 Vandal team wasn't even in hardly any of their games. The 2014 version is better than their record. Ga State is really the only REAL BAD Sun Belt team. Looking forward to these final two weeks. Go App!

So, given the standings...

It's safe to say that a win tomorrow at Lafayette would be the biggest since Michigan.

How about the fact that App is the only Sunbelt team that has yet to either qualify for a bowl or been eliminated from the postseason. Talk about control your own statistical destiny- And yes I know that we are not really bowl eligible yet but it will still be cool to see the * beside our name.

We control our destiny for keeping 3rd place and could take 2nd with some help from Troy. I would be happy with 3rd since there is a big group of 3-loss teams after that (and it would mean we beat the two best programs in the conference).

If we win out, I can see us being picked to win the conference next year by some people. Even if we end up with three losses, I can see us competing for the title next year.

That's a valid point. Of course, our win over Ark State doesn't look as impressive as it did a week ago. In retrospect, one could argue that Ga Southern's game at Tx State was a tougher game for them.

We cannot help how the teams we beat look in the follow up games nor do I look upon their performances after we play them as some sort of gauge for our team. We beat Ark State at their place. Game over. Go App!

I think you can look at several conferences and see results of game that made no sense in terms of who should beat who based on who beat who, ... Should UNC have beaten Duke so badly last night? Arkansas beat LSU who beat Ole Miss who beat Alabama. Early in the season this week looks like a potential beat down for us, now it looks pretty even. You just can never tell with 18-22 year olds.

Plus we must remember that every team doesn't necessarily get better as the season goes on... some do and some don't .. injuries to key people play a big part also some teams peak early (like Ark St) others peak later (like App St)..

Good point. App has remained fairly healthy this year but the loss of Fernandez for Saturdays ULL game is really unfortunate. He will be missed against the power running game of the Cajuns.

Fernandez needs to pull a Corey Lynch and get on the plane! Didn't Corey have a leg sewn back on or something?

don't know about sew back on, but Lynch played with a broken leg, don't know how anyone can do that, but that's the official word

How many of us on this board thought we would be in 3rd place right now? I know I didn't. But happy.

I thought it had something to do with his elbow?
