Ga State's "Dance" is over after a tough loss to Xavier 75-67, yesterday. The two teams combined to make 49 of 80 baskets (61.25%), the highest in an NCAA Tournament game in more than 20 years. Xavier shot 88 percent from the FT line; hitting 22 of 25 attempts. 'Nuff said.

UL-Lafayette (22-13) over Sam Houston State 71-70 in the CollegeInsider Tourney. Quarterfinals begin on Tuesday night.

The Warhawks of UL-Monroe battled from 20 points down on the road at Mercer to beat the Bears 71-69 Monday night. UL-M improved its record to 23-12 on the season; and now moves on to the CBI semi-finals in a home contest with the Vermont Catamounts (20-13) at 8 PM Wed.

On Thursday evening at 8 PM, the Evansville Purple Aces (21-12) travel to the bayou country to face UL-Lafayette's Ragin' Cajuns (22-13) in the CIT quarter-finals. The game will be played as a throwback of sorts in Blackham Coliseum on the UL-L campus in Lafayette. Blackham Coliseum was home to the Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team from 1950 to 1985 when the team relocated to the Cajundome as its primary residence.
