Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
There's a bunch of football left. As a reminder of how much stats can be skewed when the sampling is small, see Idaho at #4. I seriously doubt they'll end up there.
Next up for us ... Troy. Be there, App Nation. Let's pack The Rock!

Thanks for posting this. RFI = Why do we not play Texas State or New Mexico State? Seems to me we would rotate conference teams on schedule like some conferences do.

We do. We rotate every 2 years. So next year TSU and NMSU will be on our schedule and two will cycle off, but we won't know who until the schedules are released. Ultimately, since the conference is so weak I'd rather we play the toughest conference road possible.87ASUgrad wrote:Thanks for posting this. RFI = Why do we not play Texas State or New Mexico State? SEC teams are always ranked so high because they have to run the gauntlet year in and year out.

NM State just beat Idaho in OT 55-48 via an interception with the DB's feet!!! Watch the replay. Hell of a game. Congrats to the Aggies.

Ark St has nobody left. Unfortunately, last night was it. Time to heal up, finish strong, and get to the best bowl game possible. Go Apps!

Yep, they sweep easily and we probably finish below GaSo.

It''s probably been brought up previously and to echo your statement:AppAttack wrote:Ark St has nobody left. Unfortunately, last night was it. Time to heal up, finish strong, and get to the best bowl game possible. Go Apps!
We have a few extra days to get prepared for Idaho and rest up a little. Due to the current "situation" I look for a close game, however, App should prevail. After that we have two weeks to get ready for LaLa at home. I believe things will work themselves out, we'll be fine.

Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
USA's schedule will probably do them in- ULL, an improved Ga. State, Stink, and then us.
Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
we caught a break tonight with ULL losing, now, if Troy will take care of GS this weekend, and we can get back to winning, we will have a great shot at second, maybe first, if Ark St stumbles.

Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
USA will be a tough out especially down there. That big tight end will be a difficult match up. Of course, the only game that matters right now is Idaho.

The SBC has improved IMO. Each week is exciting and with Coastal coming on board it will only get better. Beat Idaho.

Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
Good morning hap..... What we saw last night was a couple of avg-to below avg teams... These are the two teams who lost the most staters from last year and are both playing lots of new people... and it showed. How would you like to be nine games into the season and still haven't found your qb????

Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
I'd like to think that with a week off to heal and hopefully get the O-line and Defense back on track, we can take care of business vs ULL. Hopefully Stink can wear down USA a bit (I'd like to see a triple overtime slugfest there).
As long as we take care of business and win at least 2 of our last 3, we are fine. What others do is out of our hands. It starts with Idaho, and if our D doesn't bring the "A" game, it could get dicey. Bring it App!

Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
I fully expect our D to exert their will on Idaho... Will it be a challenge .. yes... but I think that the D will get some TO's and help out our O much like the beginning of the season.

Re: Updated standings/remaining regular season schedule
I'd like to see the O, if we get at least a one TD lead, figure out some way to "put the pedal to the metal" and get some more (that is, increase the lead by more than 7), vice the 3 and outs we've witnessed the past two games. Seems we get a lead then let the other team stick around.
